With the live-action Borderlands film having hit the theatres this past weekend, Fortress has teamed up with Koodoo to give fans of the franchise a chance to win an awesome prize. Follow on below to find out how to win the amazing Borderlands: Claptrap Cable Guys Original Phone and Controller Holder.
The Prize
Claptrap is one of the most popular characters from the game franchise. This CL4P-TP general-purpose robot has been the comic relief throughout the series and makes a prominent appearance throughout the franchise as a result. Further, plenty of fan fiction has been created for the Hyperion-manufactured robot, a toast to it being a lovable character for many.
Many figures, toys, and accessories have also featured Claptrap. These include the officially licenced Gearbox accessory by Cable Guys—the Claptrap Phone and the Controller Holder. And this is the prize on offer here.
The Borderlands: Claptrap Cable Guys Original Phone and Controller Holder features plenty of detail and emotion. This includes its tiny arms splayed as the holder, with its body stationed on its single tyre. Nothing too rough that it can’t handle, standing at 216mm (or 8.5″) tall. As such, it’s suitable for almost all smartphones and controllers, including the PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series X|S controllers, as well as Android and iPhone smartphones.

Based on the film’s synopsis and premise notes, we can already tell that the events of the film don’t follow the sequence set out in the Borderlands game franchise. Instead, there is a mix of stories from the first two games, along with some of the DLCs.
The unlikely alliance must battle various bandits and alien monsters to uncover Pandora’s secrets and find the missing girl.

I like that the movie is a mix-up of good bits from 2 games, etc. It is a great way to tell the story, and get new (read: younger than me) people interested.
That the movie is an amalgamation of a few stories and not following the lore of the Borderlands games.
Here, the landscape has been decimated by bandits and convicts, who have taken over much of the planet, leaving it in a state of a war-weary environment.
Claptrap being voiced by Jack Black will be nothing short of rofl!
Lilith and her team are set to take on the adventure across Pandora, as they set out on their quest to find Tiny Tina and a journey of discovery.
I di did not know that Edgar Ramírez is also in this movie. That’s definitely a piece of trivia worth noting. I’m a huge fan of this guy’s work.
The film also features Edgar Ramírez as Atlas, with Gina Gershon as Mad Moxxi. Magician Penn Juliette also makes an appearance in the film, as he did with a cameo in Borderlands 3.

“Lilith and her team are set to take on the adventure across Pandora, as they set out on their quest to find Tiny Tina and a journey of discovery.”
“The game’s post-apocalyptic future still forms the base for the film, which could be labelled as a space Western science fiction”
“The unlikely alliance must battle various bandits and alien monsters to uncover Pandora’s secrets and find the missing girl. They believe this girl holds the power to determine the fate of the universe, but they must overcome plenty of challenges along the way, including simply getting along.”

“the film received a PG-13 rating, which left a few fans of the game scratching their heads.”

However, the game’s post-apocalyptic future still forms the base for the film, which could be labelled as a space Western science fiction. It may share a name with James Cameron’s Avatar world, but it is a far cry from the luscious landscape.
