Franco Havenga is an experienced journalist born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa.

After completing a BA (Hons) degree in Journalism at Stellenbosch University, he honed his craft at different lifestyle magazines at Media24 as an online editor and journalist. Although he covered a wide range of topics, Franco was always drawn to local and international entertainment news – with a special interest in understanding how the industry works.

As an avid moviegoer, he prides himself on his Letterboxd account. He prioritises watching a wide variety of genres and is always keen to chat about any film currently showing at the cinemas.

If he isn't writing a story, or busy interviewing someone in the local entertainment industry, you would most likely find him at the cinema more often than not.
