Hulu and Disney+ have dropped the first look footage and a poster for what could be considered an animated sequel to 2022’s Prey: Predator: Killer of Killers. Dan Trachtenberg, the director of the highly successful Prey, which many believe is responsible for the revival of the sci-fi horror franchise, is co-directing the three-part anthology film alongside The Third Floor‘s Josh Wassung. The R-rated animated feature, which follows the stories of three of the fiercest warriors in human history (a Japanese samurai, a Viking and a drafted soldier in World War II), will stream on June 6 on Hulu. If you love the Predator franchise, prepare to have your jaw drop!
The film cleverly weaves together three brutal stories: The first follows a Viking raider and her young son as they embark on a bloody vengeance quest. The second tale takes us to feudal Japan, where a ninja rebels against his samurai brother in a fight for succession. The final story transports us to WWII, where a pilot faces an otherworldly threat that could change the course of the war. Sounds intense, right?
While each of these warriors are ferocious in their own right, they’re being hunted by the ultimate warrior and killer: the Predator.

The trailer for Predator: Killer of Killers delivers a chilling tease for what’s to come. It begins with a bloodied warrior standing in front of a massive gate, an intense look on his bloodied face. Then a soldier stumbles through a war-ravaged battlefield, a fire burning in the background, dead bodies scattered across the ground. There’s an ominous feeling that the Predator is watching, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The tension ramps up when a warplane is overshadowed by an enormous shadow—the Predator’s ship forming a shadow over the plane. Then we see a samurai warrior scaling a mountain before hearing the terrifying sound of a Predator grunt, just before a bloody soldier is impaled by a spear. That’s when things get really brutal, and we can tell that Predator: Killer of Killers isn’t aimed at young audiences. A quick sequence of bloody action shows a samurai’s decapitation, limbs falling, and blood splattering everywhere.
The R-rated animation, completed by The Third Floor (their first full-length animated film), is a bloody masterpiece. We’re talking decapitations, dismemberments, and gruesome kills – you know, the way a Predator film is supposed to be.
Above all, Predator: Killer of Killers makes one thing very clear: the franchise isn’t going anywhere. Even though previous installments like The Predator (2018) and Predators (2010) didn’t sit well with fans, Prey and now this animated tale reaffirm that the Predator franchise still has plenty of kill left in it.
Also, if Killer of Killers is any indication, Dan Trachtenberg’s upcoming Predator: Badlands movie, slated for November 7, could be just as thrilling.
Honestly, who would’ve thought that Disney would be the company to revive the beloved Predator franchise?
