The Righteous Gemstones doesn’t shy away from nudity; however, Season 4 might take the proverbial cake. In more than one scene, Walton Goggins’ Baby Billy Freeman chooses to hang with his wa— Well, you get the picture here. It’s the latest showcase of someone wearing their birthday suit on an HBO show that will get the internet talking, especially after Patrick Schwarzenegger’s nude scene in The White Lotus Season 3 – another series Goggins also appears in.
During Fortress of Solitude’s recent chat with The Righteous Gemstone creator, Danny McBride, who also plays Jesse Gemstone on the show, we jokingly asked him if Goggins’ nude scenes were added in an effort to save on the wardrobe budget for the final season. McBride chuckled. “You know what?” he said. “Quite a bit of money was saved on his slacks. We didn’t have to pay for as many pairs of pants this year.” McBride’s co-star Cassidy Freeman, who plays Amber Gemstone, laughed and confirmed McBride’s statement.
“But you know what?” McBride added. “We spent that money on importing some of the finest elderly penises we could to double for Walton. Walton would not show his junk, which I respected, so we had to put out an international casting call to find the biggest and the best.”

So, there you have it, folks. The truth for the source’s mouth. Through sheer Hollywood magic and ingenuity, Baby Billy’s little Billy came to life – and it wasn’t due to Goggins dropping his pants all for the sake of art.
In the same roundtable session, McBride discussed how it felt right to wrap up The Righteous Gemstones with Season 4. For him, he believed the main story arcs reached a natural end, and all the unresolved conflicts solved themselves by the time the writing team finished up the scripts for the fourth season. So, it only made sense for the Gemstones to say adios to the viewers!
